Going On Christmas Break, Goodbye 2019

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I think this will be my last post for 2019, unless I feel like I absolutely have to write something. I don’t want any deadlines or work stuff looming over my head for the holidays. It’s time to get offline and enjoy the moment. Or just be able to focus on the moment enough not to stress out over all the holiday stuff!

Merry Christmas!

It’s been a good year in blogging. There were ups and downs, but mostly ups. I learned a lot about SEO for blogging and how to use keywords, although sometimes I enjoy writing just write and not paying attention to anything else. I’m still trying to learn the balance between keeping the blog as my sort of writing therapy and mental outlet, and keeping it up as a source of income as well. It’s a fine line between work and fun.

I spent most of this year with my husband deployed, and solo-parenting has been rough but we survived. Only a couple more months to go and our family will be reunited, so I’m looking forward to a return to normal (whatever that is…mostly a new normal) in 2020.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and best wishes for a Happy New Year! My biggest goal for the year will be to finally publish the children’s book I’ve been working on with a friend and illustrator. We are close to being ready to publish and have decided to go with Mascot Publishing. Besides that I’ll continue to renovate our house, work on improving my blog and maybe finish landscaping the front yard. I’d also like to take another cruise! We had so much fun on the one we did last year that I’ve been wanting to go again.

So what is your big goal (or goals) for 2020?

happy new year
