Savannah has a lot of great choices for food and drink, and I’m sharing six good places to eat in downtown Savannah, that I visited recently on a weekend trip. We stayed downtown at the Alida Hotel, so all of the places are located near downtown. The Alida should be the on my list, but I didn’t take any food pics. The she-crab soup at Rhett’s is wonderful!
Ghosts and Good Food at The Olde Pink House Restaurant
The Olde Pink House Restaurant is a popular stop on the ghost tours and is one of the famously haunted places in Savannah. Seems like a good place to have some dinner!
We initially went into the downstairs bar, which is incredibly dark and packed. Every spot we tried to sit at was reserved. So, if you want to sit in the dark bar area, you’ll probably need a reservation.
We had better luck upstairs and got a seat at the bar. Sometimes the bar there is also reserved, but we got lucky! The food was good, but my favorite part was the Praline Basket dessert. It’s almonds and pecans, vanilla ice cream, mango-citrus puree and seasonal fruit.
The Olde Pink House is located at 23 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA.

Brunch at the Goose Feathers Cafe and Bakery
The Goose Feathers Cafe and Bakery was busy, but not so much that we couldn’t get a table. I ordered the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) sandwich. Everything was delicious, decently priced and delivered quickly.
Goose Feathers is located at 39 Barnard St. Savannah, GA.

Nothing Trashy About this Treylor Park
We did brunch at the Treylor Park restaurant, which is designed to look like the inside of a big trailer. This one is double wide!
The menu was unique and filled with so many yummy options. I went for the Avocado Smash, which is their version of avocado toast. I also tried a Cactus Pear Mimosa, while my friend Heather went all in with an iced coffee with vanilla vodka, topped with a full-size donut.
The decor is trailer park glam, with chandeliers and a TV in a gilded frame playing Bob Ross painting tutorials.
Treylor Park is located at 115 E Bay St, Savannah, GA.

Pizza Delivery from Stoner’s Pizza
Stoner’s Pizza delivers until about 2AM and we just made the cut off! We ordered a pizza that I don’t even remember what it had on it, but it sure was good. I think there was ricotta cheese involved. And they delivered it right to our hotel.

Pastries and Tea at Pounce Cat Cafe and Wine Bar
The pastries at Pounce Cat Cafe and Wine Bar were surprisingly good, and everything is made offsite, so no worries about animals and food. I had a simple sweet tea, which was done just right- not too sweet, not too unsweet.
Of course, the big draw is the cats, which you have an hour to sit and pet. (I did not get any photos of the pastries, as I was too busy petting kitties.)
Pounce Cat Cafe is located at 404 W Broughton St, Savannah, GA.

Enchiladas at Órale Tacos & Tequila
We asked the pedi cab driver to recommend something close for lunch, and we got a ride in the pouring rain to Órale Tacos & Tequila. I did not sample the margaritas as we had a long night ahead of us and it was early, but I did indulge in their Enchiladas Verde. They also had a great selection of tacos and tequilas.
Everything was very fresh, and the menu was the authentic Mexican sort of fare.
Órale Tacos & Tequila is located at 36 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Savannah, GA.

We ate and drank our way around downtown Savannah for a few days and did not run into any bad meals at all! I really enjoyed the food scene and the variety of unique restaurants to choose from.
If you try any of these good places to eat in downtown savannah, please let me know in the comments!
