What Does RYZE Mushroom Coffee Taste Like?

You might be wondering what RYZE mushroom coffee tastes like, and I’m here to give an honest answer: It tastes like coffee with a bit of an earthy taste and smell.

I wouldn’t say it tastes like mushrooms, but it does have a distinctly earthy flavor, even when I add cream and sugar. The taste is not bad, but it wasn’t easy to drink first thing in the morning when I’m extra sensitive to smells and tastes.

The best option for me is to drink it in the afternoon, when I hit the 3PM slump and feel like I need a little boost. I usually avoid coffee later in the day because it keeps me up at night, but RYZE contains half the caffeine as a normal cup of coffee so it did not give me the jitters or affect my sleep.

The instructions suggest having 1-2 cups daily for maximum benefits. What I like to do is fill my coffee pot with water, but not add coffee, so it runs through and just heats up a pot of hot water. You can use a kettle of course, but I don’t have one, so I improvise.

Confession: Sometimes I run it through with my leftover coffee grounds from that morning, so I get a little more coffee flavor without a lot of extra caffeine.

How does RYZE Make You Feel?

A cup of RYZE Mushroom Coffee leaves me feeling alert and focused, which I really like. It doesn’t give me the jittery feeling I sometimes get some too much caffeine.

As far as the health benefits of gut health and immunity – I can’t really evaluate those effects as easily. I will say that it does not negatively affect my stomach the way too much coffee sometimes does. I feel like it is easier on my stomach and digestion than regular coffee.

Overall, I really enjoy drinking RYZE due to the immediate boost and possible long-term mushroom derived benefits. Each serving has 2000 MG of adaptogenic mushrooms, which is more than I could ever eat in a day.

Adaptogenic refers to substances, typically herbs or mushrooms, that help the body adapt to stress and restore balance. Adaptogens work by supporting the body’s ability to resist physical, emotional, and environmental stressors. They also help regulate various physiological processes, promoting a state of equilibrium.

Rather than targeting a specific symptom, adaptogens work holistically to boost resilience, improve energy, reduce fatigue, and enhance overall well-being.

What Are the Benefits of the Mushroom Blend?

Each mushroom for RYZE Mushroom Coffee was chosen for its specific possible benefits. The six mushrooms included are: Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Shiitake, Turkey Tail and King Trumpet.

Each of these mushrooms has distinct health benefits rooted in their unique properties:

1. Cordyceps

Cordyceps is known for boosting energy and stamina. It’s often used to improve athletic performance and combat fatigue by increasing the body’s production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is essential for delivering energy to muscles. Cordyceps may also support respiratory health and enhance oxygen utilization, making it popular for endurance training. Additionally, it has potential anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.

2. Lion’s Mane

Lion’s Mane is a powerful mushroom for brain health. It stimulates the production of nerve growth factor (NGF), which is crucial for the growth, maintenance, and repair of nerve cells. This makes Lion’s Mane beneficial for improving cognitive function, memory, and focus. It may also have neuroprotective effects, possibly helping to reduce the risk of neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s and dementia.

3. Reishi

Reishi is revered for its calming and immune-boosting properties. It’s often referred to as the “mushroom of immortality” due to its ability to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and support restful sleep. Reishi has been studied for its potential to enhance the immune system, reduce inflammation, and support heart health by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Its adaptogenic properties also make it useful for overall stress management.

4. Shiitake

Shiitake mushrooms are well-known for their ability to support heart health. They contain compounds that can lower cholesterol and improve circulation. Shiitake mushrooms are rich in polysaccharides like lentinan, which may help enhance the immune system and fight off infections. Additionally, they contain antioxidants that protect cells from damage and support overall well-being.

5. Turkey Tail

Turkey Tail is prized for its powerful immune-boosting properties. It contains polysaccharide-K (PSK) and polysaccharopeptide (PSP), which have been researched for their role in stimulating immune cells and enhancing the body’s ability to fight off infections and certain types of cancer. Turkey Tail may also improve gut health by promoting a healthy balance of beneficial gut bacteria, as it is a good source of prebiotics.

6. King Trumpet

King Trumpet, also known as King Oyster mushroom, is rich in antioxidants like ergothioneine, which help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. It has been studied for its potential to lower cholesterol levels and support cardiovascular health. King Trumpet mushrooms are also a good source of fiber, promoting digestive health and contributing to a healthy gut microbiome.

Each of these mushrooms offers unique health benefits and incorporating them into a balanced diet or supplement routine can contribute to overall wellness.
