This is my honest Hone Health review after using their service for six months, including what worked great and what could be improved.
Hone cover issues for both men and women and cover a wide array of issues. I highly recommend checking them out, especially if you are a woman going through perimenopause or menopause and having trouble getting hormone therapy, particularly testosterone. Getting your hormones back in balance during this time is honestly life changing, in a good way.
I was given a three-month trial of Hone Health to review their telehealth services, without any posting requirements. This is not a sponsored post, and I do not make money from any of the links.
I am sharing my personal experience and opinion of Hone Health in this review, because I did have a good experience and actually joined for another 3 months after my trial.

Getting Started with Hone Health
You get started by answering a comprehensive questionnaire and putting in your symptoms or issues. For me, I was tired, brain fog, weight gain, etc. In other words, I was dealing with menopause. So, I knew going into it that I needed hormone therapy.
When you initially answer the questions, they don’t ask what medications you are on yet, but that will come later in the information you fill out before you talk to the doctor.
After you fill out the initial questionnaire, you can purchase your advanced lab diagnostics for $60. I am actually not sure when you sign up for the membership. It was six months ago, and I can’t remember the process exactly.
But I do have a friend code that will get you your first month of membership free! After that, it is $149 a month for the Hone Health membership. Click here to activate the code on Hone Health. If that doesn’t work, the code is 62327114. I am not an affiliate, and I don’t profit from the memberships if you do sign up.
It is also very easy to cancel! I know because I recently cancelled after finding out my regular gynecologist had added testosterone therapy. I e-mailed customer support, and they cancelled it in 24 hours, no issues, no questions.

Next Step: Bloodwork
The next step will be bloodwork. You have 3 options- they will set you up an appointment, you can set up an appointment, or you can have someone come to your house.
I had them set me up an appointment with LabCorp and got my bloodwork done the same week.
If you have any questions at any time, I found the Hone Health customer support to be excellent. They always respond within 24 hours and were extremely helpful. And I asked a lot of questions!
Once your bloodwork is in the system, you will schedule your telehealth consultation.
Your Hone Health Consultation
Scheduling my consultation with the doctor ended up being the next week, so overall the process of getting started ended up taking a couple weeks.
You’ll need to take care of your intake forms, and then log on about 30 minutes early to verify your ID.
The ID verification was pretty frustrating. I hate these things! It took me 20 minutes and about 15 tries to get it to work. I finally found success when I gave up on my ID and used my passport. So, if you are having trouble, try that.
The second time I had a consultation and had to do the ID verification, my ID worked on the first try, so maybe I had better lighting that time. Either way, be prepared and log on early for that part.

Talking to the Doctor
You have 30 minutes for your consultation and the doctor will ask what your issues are and make recommendations based on your goals and your bloodwork. Have your questions ready so you can make the most out of your time!
Your consultation will be done online, with your video on, so you will see the doctor.
I was already on estrogen and progesterone, and the doctor pointed out I had zero testosterone and that was the missing link to getting my energy back.
I would like to point out here, that I see a lot of comments on Facebook that bloodwork for hormone therapy is useless because the levels fluctuate, and some places don’t require it. But in my experience, it was VERY useful, and I recommend going with a place that requires it.
The doctor could tell by my bloodwork that I was taking the right amount of estrogen, needed a little progesterone and needed to start testosterone therapy. All women normally have testosterone but prescribing it for women is still considered “off label” so we don’t always have easy access to it. This makes access easy!
Tip: Remember to ask questions about the prescription- like how it will be administered, where and basically how to use it. I didn’t ask any of these and was prescribed injections. When the medication arrived with a bunch of needles, I wasn’t sure how to read the units or how to do it. I had to watch a YouTube video for help!
Getting Your Prescription
Once you have your prescription, you can look it over and choose which ones you want to go with. Then you add them to your cart and start a subscription to those meds.
They will then be delivered to your house, and refilled as necessary as long as your membership is active.
If you are wondering about the price- I did some research, and the pricing is fairly standard but on the higher side. My husband does testosterone therapy with a local doctor and his is $125 a month. But that is just the testosterone and doesn’t cover the bloodwork.
The reason I recommend Hone Health, is because your membership covers everything- not just hormone therapy. You can ask about weight loss and longevity supplements as well, all in one place.

Continuing Therapy
Once you get started, you have three months until another round of bloodwork is covered and at that point you also get another doctor consultation.
This is where I have some criticism. The follow up is only 15 minutes, which is way too short. You should at least get 30 minutes! I felt like I was on the speed round of Jeopardy asking questions as fast as I could.
I don’t feel I got enough time to cover everything on my follow-up.
However, I e-mailed customer service, and they responded quickly and covered my questions. But I would have preferred to not feel so rushed on my follow-up.
Hone Health Review Final Thoughts
Even with the rushed follow-up, I would still recommend Hone Health if you are struggling to get help or find a doctor. I have heard from many women that they can’t find a doctor to help with their symptoms, and with Hone you can get help without even leaving your house.
