Making Slave Leia Costume Part Two: The Skirt

It took me well over a year to get to the second part of making the Slave Leia costume, but I finally finished it and published the video to YouTube.

If you’ve seen the movie Fanboys, I made the costume Kristen Bell wears in the movie. My style is very distinct, because I made it to be comfortable to wear, and it is not an exact replica of the one in Return of the Jedi.

The movie people purchased one of my costumes of eBay, back when I first started making them, and the gold plates on the bottom are obviously bent in the photos of Kristen Bell. I later upgraded my materials so that isn’t an issue now.

I’ve made hundreds of these over the years, and do not make them for sale anymore. So, I wanted to share the way I made them so people can make it for themselves.

It’s not my best tutorial, as it took me forever to finish it, so if you have any questions, please post in the comments and I’ll be happy to answer them.
