My first impression of VIVAZEN Energy and Focus Shot and Gummies? They taste like bitter cherry cough syrup. Read my honest review of VIVAZEN’s Energy and Focus blend after trying both the liquid shot and gummies several times to get the full idea of how it tastes and how it performs.
I’m curious about the claims of “focus” because the other kratom product I like gives me an energy boost, but it’s not focused. It’s more like, get up and do something energy, not sit down and write a blog post.
I was sent the sample box below to try VIVAZEN, but this is not a paid post, and I am writing about my honest experience trying the gummies and shots.

VIVAZEN Quick Review
If you don’t want to read my detailed play-by-play and just want to know the summary, here you go: Both the gummies and shots taste very bitter. The shots are easier to take because they go down fast. Chewing those giant gummies is rough.
The energy and focus effects do kick in pretty quickly. Overall, I found it to be mild, even when I took a full shot, which is supposed to be two servings. It’s different than the kratom seltzers I’m used to, but it also has other stuff in it besides kratom that seems to mellow out the overall effect.
Definitely no jitters, and no loopy feeling. If I had to pick one, I’d recommend the shot.
Below is my more detailed experience of trying the gummies and shots.
Trying VIVAZEN Energy and Focus Gummies
Feeling a bit tired this morning, so I took a VIVAZEN Energy and Focus Gummy at 10:30 a.m. to try it out for the first time.
The package contains 6 gummies, and the dose is one gummy. They are pretty big (see the size in the photos below), so I started with 1/2 to see how it does.

The package says the flavor is “Berry Bliss,” but there is nothing blissful about this flavor. The gummies look like they are going to taste good, and appear to have a sprinkle of sugar, but they taste SO bad. Have water close by.
By an hour and a half later at 12:00 p.m., I didn’t feel a lot. I have a smidge more energy, maybe. I’m going to choke down the other half and see if I feel anything after that.
Still just as awful tasting. You can’t take these with a straight face. It’s so bitter. Chewing it is rough.
Thirty minutes later, I am starting to feel the familiar buzzy energy you get from kratom, but it does have a bit more focus to it than usual.
By 1:00 p.m., an hour after taking the second half, I can definitely feel it! I am not tired, and I do have some focus, but it’s not overwhelming. I plan to try taking the gummy again, but this time the whole gummy at once.
Attempt #2
This time, I’m trying one full gummy after lunch, at 2:30. I recommend always trying these on a full stomach first. I have gotten an upset stomach when taking anything with kratom on an empty stomach.
I have my water ready, and well, I spit the whole thing out.
I just can’t. It’s too bitter, and the thing is too big. I’ll be saving these for my husband, who can handle the taste better than me. He likes them, although he agrees that taste is terrible.
Final Verdict:
Awful taste, mild energy and focus boost when you take the full serving. I usually recommend starting with a half, but half of these did not seem too strong. However, it was much easier to take when I cut it in half. Trying to chew the whole thing at once was a total fail.
Next up, I’ll be trying to liquid VIVAZEN shots.
Trying VIVAZEN Energy and Focus Shots
I recommend putting these in the fridge before trying. These types of shots always taste better cold. And for the shot, I am starting out with a half serving again, which is half of one bottle.

I took a big swig, and then another, which equated to about half the shot. I chased it with water, and the bad taste went away pretty quickly. It reminded me of taking NyQuil.
About an hour later, I wasn’t really sure if I was feeling anything, so I drank the rest.
Shortly after that, I did feel like I had a good bit of energy and was running around cleaning up the house. It felt like it lasted a couple of hours and slowly wore off.
So, there was no jolt of energy, but also no crash. More like a steady flow. I didn’t feel weird, and it didn’t upset my stomach, both of which are reactions I’ve had with some kratom products. It’s always good to be cautious when trying this stuff.
Final Verdict:
Bad taste, but I feel like it does what it says- gives you energy and focus. The shot is easier to get down than the gummies.

A Quick Energy Boost with No Crash
Both products worked pretty fast, but the gummies required just one gummy (one serving) while the shots required the whole shot (two servings).
It’s probably not something I’ll be taking regularly, but it is good if you need a quick boost and don’t want the jitters and crash that usually come with caffeinated products.
My second time trying it, I did the shot later in the evening, and I was still able to go to bed with no problems.
