Candy Keane is a former professional costumer turned author and blogger, military wife and mom to one energetic little boy that gives her plenty to write about.
She is most well-known for being on the cover of and featured in the Star Wars fan documentary Jedi Junkies, and can also be found in numerous cosplay books and magazines, including the Morgan Spurlock documentary and book, Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope. Her most famous piece of costume handiwork is the Leia costume worn by Kristen Bell in the movie Fanboys.
She closed her costume shop in 2015 to concentrate on family and personal projects, and now writes about “geek mom life” on GeekMamas.com. Her first children’s book, I’m Going to My First Comic Convention, will be published this year.
