Watch Out for Facebook Scams
This particular scam has been going on for over a year now and has gotten several high-profile pages. Lots of people have been sharing their stories about how their account was stolen, or almost stolen. These are always verified pages with sometimes millions of followers. They are after me because I have a verified Facebook page with over 100k followers: SewGeekMama on Facebook.
It’s nice to see that my rate has gone up to $5000 now! Before they were only offering $3000 to steal my page, lol. And how ironic that the message starts with hoping I’m in great spirits, when the message is coming from someone who is trying to crush my spirit by doing a very terrible thing. I felt like my heart fell down to my stomach the day my Facebook page got stolen. It was through an ads scam, and way before this scam started circulating, but it operates in a similar manner.
They choose big name podcasters to impersonate, and I can assure you, Full Send Podcast and their host Kyle Forgeard have nothing to do with this. They probably have no idea this is even happening.
Here’s to hoping if you are reading this, that did your research and found this post before you handed over your page!

Eight hours later and I’m the first like and comment…
I swear it’s like people do their best to avoid being informed nowadays.
Which would explain why so many people only look this up After they got scammed lol
Well as an old Wiccan friend is fond of saying; Stupidity can and should be painful, LOL.
I’m hardly perfect but I do my best to follow the whole ounce of prevention thing… 🙂
Thank you for sharing this information as my client was approached by Rex Hall with the exact same message. What raised my suspicions was that the email address started bouncing and they tried to reach out again. Thankfully, I saw your post and can prevent my client from losing their Facebook account which has a substantial amount of followers.
Thank you for spreading the word!
Glad you found the post! This is the newest one they’ve been sending out. They will probably continue to contact you with the same offer and change the names.
