Lewis Howes Podcast Scam is the Newest Facebook Page Stealer

The Lewis Howes podcast scam is the latest entry in a stream of podcasters being faked in an effort to set up a meeting that steals your Facebook page. It all started with the Tony Terry Scam, and has grown to include Chill with MacG, Steven Bartlett, Fresh and Fit Miami and Nicholas Sterling.

All of these people and podcasts are real, but the offers being sent out are fake and sent from scammers hoping to lure you into being a guest on their podcast show that will never happen.

How Does the Lewis Howes Podcast Scam Work?

It all starts with an e-mail from a big-name podcaster like Lewis Howes, usually with some big-name sponsors attached. Look closely, and you’ll notice it comes from a Gmail address and not their actual website.

Update: The latest e-mails have been coming from julian@lewishowes.live , which is NOT Lewis Howes official website. They’ve upgraded their scam techniques since people have caught on to the Gmail address.

Then they’ll offer you $2,000 – $3000 upfront to do that show. The catch? You’ll need to hop on a zoom call with them to get everything set up.

During the Zoom call is where they’ll request to screenshare with you so they can help you set everything up. And as soon as you do that, they’ve got you. They’ll take over your account through the screenshare and kick you out of your own page.

Here’s the Latest E-mail I’ve Gotten:

What to Do If You’ve Been Scammed

I sincerely hope you found this post before falling for this scam. It’s getting harder and harder to reach a live person at Facebook that can help. I had my page stolen a few years ago, which is why I started writing about these scams. When I searched, nothing popped up and I fell for the one where they offer to put ads on your Facebook page. That’s a scam too!

I got mine back by going through my ads account and reaching a person there. I then had to provide a notarized statement of what had happened and that I was the owner of that page. The links I used have long since changed, so you just have to keep trying every angle until you can get someone.

  1. Lewis Howes is a criminal mastermind that has been taking advantage of vulnerable women for years! He lures people into his “inner circle” and then extorts and devises all types of scams to keep you coming. It starts out with one payment, then the next, and the next thing you know you’re selling your house and he’s inviting you to join his cult in L.A. Someone needs to stop this guy Here’s a free standing page someone created to expose Lewis Howes. This stuff is real guys. He’s not the one being victimized he’s actually using apps to victimize the general public into paying into his pyramid schemes he’s built for himself and girlfriend Martha Higadera. Please report him to your local Inspector General Office, State’s Attorney, Governer’s office and FBI for Pyramid Schemes!!!

  2. Thank you for this! I had the same email but got suspicious when the grammar in the reply was off. It looked pretty legit and the from address was julian@lewishowes.live but that is not Lewis’ official website (his is .com).

  3. thanks for sharing this. It confirmed my suspicions on an invite from ‘jimmy fallon’ for a guest appearance on his podcast. They appear to be purchasing domains with legitimate naming. See below.

  4. Hi
Just got this email and have been going back and forth for three days now even got another email from another podcaster in the meantime😆
When I inquired about the Gmail one of the scammers stopped talking to me and the other pushed forward for the zoom session where they would pay me $1000usd to set up my account and check everything is ok.
I would like to know how can they hack with a screenshot I would suppose they start spamming the page for password maybe? Because they can’t have access to my page by looking at it, but I won’t try to find out 😅
Thanks for the post hopefully more people get alerted on this.

    • Glad you found the post! They don’t hack with the screenshot- they hack when they get you to screenshare and then they ask for access to your computer to “help” you set everything up for the podcast. The other way if they can’t get access is to helpfully walk you through changing the settings to give them page access and then they cut you out of the page. Either way, they worm their way in! It’s terrible and happening to way too many people.

  5. I also just received an email from Lewis Howe with this same offer regarding my nonprofit 501c3 child abuse organization. He wants to go LIVE via my Facebook page. I’m SO glad I found this article!!
