I just got an e-mail titled: Exclusive VIP Invitation: Step into the Spotlight on the MacG Management Podcast! So it seems the Robby Robinson podcast scam people have changed their angle once again, this time to MacG Management and a Prada-sponsored Facebook podcast on Chill with MacG. Good thing they’re still offering that cool $3000 to steal my Facebook page!
Don’t Fall for the Podcast Guest Scam
If you get this message, please do not let them near your Facebook page. They will ask you to screen share to help you set up for the podcast. This will give them access to your computer and they will take over your page.
It happened recently to a very high-profile blogger and Facebook content creator who won’t even use her computer because she’s afraid they are monitoring her. They have stolen her Facebook page, removed her posts and are posting as her to keep her subscribers paying!

MacG and Chill with MacG is a real podcast and YouTube show. They are not associated with the scam and are just having their names stolen because they have a popular show.

During that call is where they’ll ask you to screenshare and walk you through the process that will end up with them taking over your account. I’m not going to do that, but I did decide to keep things going just for fun. These guys are ready to go for anything!
And this is where it gets funny:
Me: I just talked with the guys at MacG and they don’t know anything about this. Can you explain?
Enzo: I handle all booking-related matters as Duduzile Methula’s manager. Once we’ve got the green light, MacG ensures the podcast runs smoothly by taking care of all arrangements.
Me: Ok, so they don’t know about upcoming shows until you find guests and book them?
Enzo: That’s correct. I, as Duduzile Methula’s manager, handle the guest booking and related matters. Once the arrangements are confirmed, MacG is informed, ensuring the seamless execution of the podcast.
Me: Ok, great! I’m known for my costumes. Can I dress up like Harley Quinn and speak in an accent the whole time. I’m not sure which accent yet.
Enzo: Yes, wearing a costume is more than okay! In fact, it sounds fantastic. Your unique style and creativity will undoubtedly bring an extra flair to the podcast.
We encourage our guests to express themselves authentically, and your costumes are more than welcome. Looking forward to a vibrant and engaging podcast session!
Me: My husband has a chicken dance he’s trying to make go viral, can he do this in the background? Is it ok if he also wears a chicken suit? Also, can you send me an advance on the $3000 you promised so I can buy him the chicken suit?
Enzo: Yes, your husband can join! We love the energy that will bring. We just ask that he dances to non-copyrighted music. As for an advance, we aim to process payments promptly before the podcast, on that same day.
Me: Would you say that doing this podcast increases or decreases your ability to be taken seriously as a media outlet?
Enzo: I’m not sure I understand the question. MacG has been doing this podcast for years and has a large audience. I assure you he’s taken quite seriously. Doing the podcast will bring great things for you and give you maximum exposure to our audience.
Me: That’s good! So you are sure this won’t hurt my chances of being elected president? I’m thinking of running in 2024 and this would be a great boost to my campaign.
Also, would it be ok to use hand puppets during the show? I have a skit set to “My Milkshake Bring All the Boys to the Yard.”
Enzo: We can cover a lot of this during our phone call, but whatever you feel would promote you best is fine with us. We’d be honored to have an interview with a future president!
Me: I’d prefer it if you referred to me as Madam President throughout the show. Will I get to interact with your audience? Do I call them pod people?
Enzo: We can address you as anything you like. Would you like to do the call now? You have a lot of questions that would easier covered by phone.
Me: You didn’t answer my question about the hand puppets. Sometimes I get shy, and the hand puppets help me act out my words. My husband said he’s really disappointed we can’t get the money for the chicken suit. He said he’s going to try and make it with cardboard and feathers. And since he can’t use his copyrighted song, he wants to sing his own song, but in a chicken squawk. I can send a sample recording if you’d like to hear it.
Enzo: A sample won’t be necessary! And yes of course, whatever you need to make you feel comfortable is fine. I look forward to our call to go over the technical setup. We will walk you through it with a quick screen share. All very safe and simple.
Me: Sounds great! I’ll get back to you if I have more questions.
On the day of the scheduled call, I told them I was having trouble with my Facebook account. I said someone had helped me set it up to share ads on it (another popular Facebook scam) and now it was locked, and I was having trouble accessing my account.
Enzo helpfully offered to screen share and troubleshoot my account with me! These people have no shame! lol

Hilarious!! I will now address you as Madame President!
Excellent! lol
This just happened to me twice in the last two weeks. The first one was a podcast opportunity with Tony Robbins and I got duped into an actual conversation. Fortunately, nothing malicious happened. Then today I got an email about the MacG Podcast and found your article. Thanks for the laughs and for sharing your experience.
I haven’t gotten the Tony Robbin’s one yet! Glad you found the post! Thank you for commenting and letting me know 🙂
