When I was little, my cousins and I battled with broomsticks and called them lightsabers. Now 40 something years later, I finally have a “real” lightsaber thanks to ARTSABERS, and just turning it on and hearing that realistic swish noise makes my nerdy little heart happy.
They sent me the Luke Saber, inspired by Luke Skywalker and built for full contact dueling. It has 20+ sounds and colors, and even plays Star Wars theme music!

The Luke Saber by ARTSABERS
ARTSABER lightsabers come in a sturdy protective case, with white gloves, a bag and a display stand. I was immediately surprised and impressed by the weight of the saber handle. This thing is heavy duty and has some weight to it!
You’ll need to assemble it yourself and attach the light-up end to the handle. It comes with the tool you’ll need to use for this. Make sure you get all the little screws in correctly. I didn’t have mine done tight enough the first time, and the first thing I did was swing the saber and have the end go flying off.
Once assembled, I was surprised how big it was overall. This will definitely take some practice to swing around and not whack things. (Walls, the ground, myself…)

Time to Save the Galaxy
To turn it on, you press the button and then it’s time to live out those Star Wars dreams! I love the noise when it turns on and was excited to hear it change tone when you wave it around. So realistic!
You can change the sounds by pressing the button and twist the saber to change the color. It’s both really cool and a bit frustrating because I can’t seem to get the hang of it and just poke and twist it until it gets to the right color and sound that I want.
I’m sure I’ll figure out once I use it a little more, but right out of the box there’s a learning curve to making it do what you want and not incredibly clear instructions. The good news is that everything it does is cool!
Also, a good thing to note is that it changes to many different colors, so you could use it for any Star Wars character, Jedi or Sith, depending on which side of the Force you choose.

I’m really happy with the ARTSABER lightsaber and can’t wait to use it with a new Star Wars cosplay! And may the force be with you.

Great post! Love the lightsabers. I’ve always been a big fan of Star Wars so I couldn’t help but smile reading your post. Star Wars was also a part of my childhood growing up. I’ve seen all the films countless times and own certain apparel. So these lightsabers seem like something I would love. Recently, I had the chance to see “The Force Awakens” again and really loved it. It awakened my lifelong love for Star Wars.
I need to watch the one again myself!
Very Nice. Welcome to the club! I’ve been building a collection for about 5 years now. 🙂

Looks like you got most of the pink out of your hair also. Guess you won’t be stuck being an anime girl after all. :D
oh wow, those are Nice! The video is from last month. It just took me forever to finish the blog post! Hair is still very pink lol.
Do you have a favorite out of your lightsabers? And do you use any of them for dueling or display only?
Still pink… 😮 Well, there are worse things than being an anime girl. Being a hentai girl for example, LOL.
I’ve used all three of the Vader’s Vault sabers with a local group that specializes more in choreographed lightsaber combat than outright duels. The favorite is definitely my heavily customized black chrome sovereign elite.
I haven’t made a follow-up post because I still need to get in touch with Vader’s Vault and see what they’ll do, but the power switches in two of the sabers went bad after I started working with the lightsaber combat group. Disappointing since VV is supposed to be a premium retailer. Hell, they made Ray Park’s practice saber for “Solo: A Star Wars Story”
I have heard good things about Vader’s Vault. Hope you can get that fixed! We have a local saber group here that does choreographed routines.
You should join the group. You’ll have a blast. 🙂
BTW, forgot to say it earlier, but I love that your saber came with a hard storage case. Nobody else that I know of really does that.
It’s a really nice case! I was impressed over all with the saber and the stuff that came with it. Of course, I don’t have anything to compare it with. My light-up dollar store toy is a far cry from the real deal, lol.
