We spent the weekend in Orlando, got a haircut, laid our sweet puppy to rest under a plumeria and unboxed some pretty cool Scented Slime by Amy.
Week in Review Sept. 2 – 8
By Orlando! We had a great time at MommyCon over Labor Day weekend. I’ll be doing a full post on that soon! We also got to visit Disney Springs and the fun themed restaurants, so it felt like quite a little vacation.
Also, bye bye shaggy locks! While I love my son’s pretty blond curls, they were just getting to long and tangled and I figured it was time to go get him a cute little boy cut. We went to Cookie Cutters here in Jax because it looked like fun, and it was! He got to choose which vehicle he wanted to sit in, and it had a spinning steering wheel that kept him very entertained. They also have cartoons to choose from, a play area while you are waiting, and the cutest little fire engine shampoo station I’ve ever seen. They worked fast and amazingly well on a constantly moving kid. He looks very grown-up with his new fancy haircut.
On a somber note, we laid our sweet puppy to rest under a plumeria tree from Hawaii. He was 15, so he had a nice long and happy life. His name is Keyane because when we visited Hawaii they pronounced our last name Key-Ah-Nee. I thought it was so pretty that when we adopted a puppy, I wanted to name him that. I really want to write more but I just can’t because I’m already crying just writing this! He was VERY loved and will always be in our hearts.
We got slimed! OK only a little, and it smelled wonderful so it’s all good. I loved this fun box of slime goodies from Scented Slime by Amy. I never knew there were so many different types! I just remember the stinky green goo that came with the He-Man slime pit. And then pretty much the only thing we did was stick it back in the jar and make it fart, lol. This is definitely next-level slime.
That’s it for us this week! So what was the highlight of your week?

Sorry about Keyane. I remember when I was young, I had two very gorgeous cats that were twins. Out of ignorance, my nanny sprayed some insect repelling thingy that was poisonous on my babies who liked leaking themselves. When I came back from school I found them dead and it took me 3 months of grieving and sometime longer to get over it. So I can empathize with the situation.
Otherwise I don’t understand why I always want to bite the chics of young cute kids!
I’m at the point where I’m wondering when I can mention his name without tears! It’s kind of embarrassing, lol. He was my baby before I had a baby 🙂 And I totally understand nibbling cheeks 😉
