Don’t want to buy an ill-fitting packaged costume? Here’s how to easily put together the classic Scarlet Witch cosplay costume from WandaVision, using pieces from Amazon and a free template for the headpiece.

Before I had my son, I owned a costume shop and handmade ALL my costumes! Now I’m a busy mom who doesn’t have months to dedicate to costume design, but I still want my costume to fit well and not look like it came from a bag. WandaVision Scarlet Witch Cosplay

A red outfit and hot pink tights on a redhead usually wouldn’t go together, but somehow it works for the Scarlet Witch! I put together this costume piece-by-piece and it’s become a new favorite due to how comfortable it is to wear. Here’s each piece I used for the outfit, and where I found it, and notes on how I used it.

The red body suit is a swimsuit in a size Medium. I recommend ordering your correct size on this one. I started with a large and returned it. It says it’s “tummy control” but it’s not really. The ruching in front helps cover up and bumps and lumps though, so that’s why I went with this style.

The cape is a simple tie around the next type. I usually prefer to tuck capes in at the shoulders, but she wears it tied around her neck in the WandaVision episode, so that’s how I wore it too.

The gloves are elbow length satin gloves by Leg Avenue. I folded them down to make them shorter.

The pink tights are actually leggings by Music Legs. The brand name is different on the Amazon listing, but it is the same one I purchased. They have the perfect color and opaqueness. You can’t tell they are leggings because they go far enough down that the boots cover the bottom. It took me three tried to find a pair of tights I liked!

The wig is a light auburn wig with soft waves. It is inexpensive, but surprisingly nice!

I found the boots (not shown) on eBay, but if you happen to have boots you like in a different color, check out this tutorial on how to change the color of leather or vinyl. Sometimes it’s easier to turn an old pair the right color than find new ones.
