Coleman SaluSpa Cali EnergySense AirJet Hot Tub Review

The hot tub arrives in a big box with everything you need to get going, including a way to inflate the tub. The inflation part is built in, so you don’t need an additional pump. It was pretty easy to set up once we Googled the instructions on YouTube. It does come with a booklet, but it was easier to follow the video.

The 2-4 person tub is the perfect size for our patio- not too big, not too small. It didn’t take very long to fill up and get running. It also heated up faster than the chart said it would and was a piping hot 104 degrees in just under a day. The EnergySense® insulated cover does a great job of keeping the heat in and is really easy to get off and on. I like that the cover also has clips if you want to secure it shut.

Setting up the chemicals was easy as well. We just dropped in a brominating tab and tested the water the next day with testing sticks. All looked good and we were ready to relax! The spa bubbles up with the push of a button and you’re soon surrounded by 140 AirJet massage bubbles.

The control panel also has a locking function, which came in handy when we had a party full of kids that wanted to poke at it.

And speaking of kids- they all absolutely loved the hot tub so much that it was crammed with kids during our party, and they next day the tub was pretty gross. I pushed the button on, and the yellowed water bubbled up like a giant foam wave. They had also brought a bunch of dirt and leaves into the water. We decided to dump it and start over with fresh clean water. It’s that easy! I was so glad to get a fresh start.

I’ve really enjoyed having the hot tub and have used it every day! It’s really great to soak in after my morning yoga class. It’s a good height for me, so when I sit on the bottom, my head is just above the water. And the whole thing is very well made and sturdy, which is good because we had a curious Aussie dog peeking over the side to see what was going on.
