The day after explant surgery was not as bad as I was expecting! I think that nerve block must be pretty effective. They said it would last about 3 days and slowly wear off. I woke up from surgery and immediately started crying because it felt like my chest was on fire. The nurses quickly shot something into my IV and I felt better.
