Happy New Year’s Eve! Looking Ahead to 2024

It’s New Year’s Eve and this year I’m optimistically looking ahead to 2024. This time last year I was looking forward to launching my new cosplay accessory shop online, and by the end of the year, I was looking forward to closing it. I still plan to vend at events, because I realized that’s the part I actually enjoy.

And that’s the focus for the new year– dedicating more of my time to things I enjoy, and things that are good for me. And figuring out what I don’t need to waste my energy on and not stressing about cutting it out.

happy new year

2023 started out a bit rough, with my grandmother Nanny being ill and then passing away February. It really affected me and I’m still working through the loss but doing better.

This year is starting out with a new health-related challenge that I’ll probably be blogging a lot about as soon as I’m ready to share things. Right now, I’m still processing and gathering information.

My blog DA rose 6 points to 36, which I’m excited about because I’ve been putting a lot into updating older posts and fine tuning the blog. I realized I didn’t have time to do a whole new accessories business and keep the blog running smoothly. I decided it would be better to put my efforts towards something that was already working and had a lot of potential to grow.

With the new focus on blogging, I resurrected MomtasticMommyBlog.com and started blogging over there as well. I also have a couple more blogs in the works that are more niche specific than this one.

I feel pretty good about my plans for 2024, and I’m ready to greet the new year with enthusiasm and optimism for a good year.

Happy 2024!

    • Thanks! I’ve been working hard on fixing older posts where I didn’t know what I should be doing. The blog goes back 8 years so there’s A LOT to work through! And a lot of old broken links. It’s very satisfying to delete them 🙂

  1. Congrats. I’m just trying to write more this year, I’m in my senior year of college and I can see the difference. I started college a couple years ago and all my side projects took hits. Work, kids, kid school things and full time college- things fall to the side.

Happy New Year and good luck with your goals.
