I get sent a lot of things to test out as part of my blogging job. The fun part about that, besides trying new things, is that sometimes I get to try things I didn’t even know I needed! Like the AerClear 3 Stage HEPA Home Air Purifier by Clarifion. This portable but powerful home air purifier is something I now use every single day to keep my office fresh and I find it also helps with my seasonal allergies.

The HEPA Filter Makes a Difference
The AerClear features a True HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter and is used to make the air cleaner and less contaminated with pollutants. It captures 99.7% of particles like dust, pollen, mold, viruses, bacteria and other airborne particles up to .03 microns in size.
Removing and trapping these particles can help allergy and asthma suffers experience fewer symptoms and find some relief from respiratory issues. For example, I suffer from seasonal allergies, and I get an e-mail every day with the pollen count.
On particularly high pollen count days, I find that I’m less affected if I avoid spending too much time outdoors and work in my office with my AerClear running right next me.
I also got a LOT of use out of it when we adopted a 13-week-old puppy who was going through potty training and decided my office was the best place to poop. Nobody wants to sit in a stinky room!
So every time the puppy had an accident, I’d crank the fan up on the AerClear to level 3 and let it run for at least 10 minutes before trying to go back in there. I was to glad to have it to help rid the room of the stink quickly every time.
Setting Up and Using the AerClear
The AerClear Home Air Purifier is easy to set-up. The first thing you want do after you remove the unit from the box is flip it upside down, unscrew the bottom cap and remove the filter. Next take the wrapper off the 3-in-1 HEPA filter and replace it in the air purifier. Then you just plug it in, and it will immediately go to work cleaning the air.
The unit features a handy night light option with seven different colors. When you press power, the light will cycle through all the colors. You can stop it on a particular color by pressing the light button and press it again to change colors. There is fan function with three levels, Low, Medium and High. This is a particularly favorite feature of mine, because it sits right next to my desk so I’m always adjusting the fan to my preference.
The AerClear also has a Sleep function, so if you want no light or noise, you can press the Sleep button and the AerClear goes nearly silent. The red light on the power button also goes off. You can conveniently program the unit to run for 2, 4 and 8-hour durations so you don’t need to worry to remember to turn it off if you don’t want it to run all day.
