This week’s highlights include my explant recovery update, a new beauty box called Eye Scream, the first school fundraiser of the year and Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

Explant Recovery Update
I am now six weeks post explant surgery and as much as I wanted it to go faster, it seems to have moved right along with the schedule mapped out by the doctor. I almost have my full range of motion back, and am at like, 95%.
My right pectoral muscles have not quite come back yet, but the left is doing good. The right side is the one that had capsular contracture and a lot of scar tissue, and the capsule came out in shreds unlike the left that came out whole.
I started the explant journey story with this post: HerScan Detected My Implants Ruptured, but I got to see the implants after removal, and they were actually intact! I was ready to have them gone for many other reasons though, but the possibility of a rupture is what finally put me over the edge. So even though it was a false alarm, it was a good thing.
EYESCREAM Makeup Box
I took a break from Ipsy to try the EyeScream Beauty Box last month and it was filled with really cute and fun makeup. A single box is $30, so it’s the same price as the Ipsy Glam Bag, but you get a big eye shadow palette each month and I felt the products were more unique and less mainstream.

My favorite thing was the Plumeria Dragon palette by Sugar Drizzle Cosmetics. The just came out with a new Monster Party palette, and I snapped up one of those as well.

School Fundraiser Time
The kids have been back to school about a week, and they’ve already been sent home with a fundraiser from Charleston Wrap. There’s actually a lot of cute stuff in the catalog, including of course, wrapping paper. I really like the wrapping paper and ordered a variety pack this year.
(fundraiser is done, so I removed the link)
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!
I am super excited for the new Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice movie coming out September 6th! I’ve done a few Beetlejuice looks over the years and even a Beetlejuice makeup tutorial and video. Click here to check out the Beetlejuice makeup tutorial.

That wraps up my current events and happenings. Hope you all have a good Labor Day! Not much planned for this week, but I am getting a tattoo on Tuesday. This will be my first tattoo in 20+ years.
I have one on my ankle and one on my lower back. This new one will be between my shoulders. I put a LOT of thought into this one and am very happy with the art. It will also be the first tattoo I’m getting that I didn’t draw myself. I’ll post pics when it is complete.
