Happy Holidays! We had a great visit to grandma’s for Thanksgiving, followed by the longest drive home ever. Holiday traffic is the worst! Then we kicked Christmas season off right away on Dec. 1st with a visit to the GAAM Holiday Nerd Market. Next, we enjoyed the tree lighting at the Atlantic Beach Country Club and also set up our own Christmas tree. We also got to check out a new children’s book Where Will You Go Ricky Jo? There’s lots more fun to be had this month and we plan to get out and soak it all in! Happy…

Welcome to the latest edition of the Week in Review, now called “Keane Interest” because I wanted something a little more catchy. This edition covers the latest GAAM event, the Hive Society White Party, a new love for Chuck E. Cheese and the Geek Mamas t-shirt shop on Tee Public. I’d like to share some of my favorite tips since it seems like every article I’ve run across is just rehashing the same old stuff. Most of it is…

The night I started the meds for my IVF cycle, I was supposed to run a table for my boutique at a big cosplay event. I had worked really hard to bring my character to life and was excited to wear the outfit as part of a trio. Things did not go as planned. The fertility drugs made me really ill, and I ended up puking in the parking lot before the event started. We never even got photos of our group – the Lady Luck dressphere from Final Fantasy X-2. I was Paine, the one in blue and black.…
