Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies! I feel compelled to post something on this day, given that this is a “mommy blog” and becoming a mom has given me a deeper appreciation of all moms and what they go through. I still think we should petition for Mother’s Appreciation Week that culminates in the Mother’s Day celebration on Sunday. Who’s with me?

I wanted to write something deep and thoughtful about the ways that motherhood has changed me, but my mind is kind of blanking this morning. So I took some time and figured I’d come back fresh in the afternoon with something to say.

Three Mother’s Day mimosas later, nothing brilliant has come to mind and I’m ready for a nap.

So I’ll keep it simple: Happy Mother’s Day! To my mom, and all the moms. Hope you all have a wonderful day, and maybe a moment of peace where you can hear yourself think.
