DIY Glow Stick Valentine Cards for Kids Printable

Glow stick Valentine cards are easy to make with just photopaper, a glow stick and clear tape! They’re a great alternative to cards with candy, and don’t require a lot of artsy skills. Print, tape and done. The hardest part of the whole project was getting my son to write his name in the “From” section on every card.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your paper

You want to choose a sturdy paper for these- not regular printer paper. I used 8.5″ x 11″ photo paper because I happen to have a bunch of it already, but you can also use card stock. Each sheet fits three cards.

Step 2: Download the printable PDF

Step 3: Print and cut

The PDF is at a high resolution for a good print, so make sure your printer is set on photo printing (or similar) for the best results. There are gray lines for cutting guides.

Step 4: Attach the glow-sticks

The glow stick should fit perfectly across the front. I used two pieces of clear tape to secure it to the card. My original idea was to punch holes and make it look like it was going through the heart, but that made the paper get all weird and lumpy. So, unless you are using really sturdy paper, I recommend the tape.

Step 5: Sign and done!

Just fill out the “From” section and you’re ready for the Valentine celebration with fun and unique cards that don’t take forever to put together, and are pretty cheap to make too!
