Moms Meet, a website many bloggers and moms are part of, suddenly announced on July 6th that it was shutting down. This came as a shock to many Moms Meet members, as there was no warning at all, and they were still pushing ticket sales to their WOW Summit only three days before filing bankruptcy.
Moms Meet Shuts Down
I’ve been a member of Moms Meet for several years. I’ve done tons of great campaigns through them and always looked forward to them. Then suddenly last year things started to change. It had been more than six months since I’d gotten work through them, and I got a message on Facebook from another blogging mom saying she got an auto-reply saying Moms Meet was closing.
At the time, the website was still active, WOW Summit ticket sales were still happening, and many moms (like the one that messaged me) were in the middle of campaigns. She just happened to get a heads up with that e-mail response.
And that was all she got. Moms Meet has been very tight-lipped about the whole, thing, only posting that one notice on their Facebook page, and not replying to the comments. The website is no longer active, but their social media is still up, with only a mention on the Facebook page.
Filing for Bankruptcy
Online records indicate the May Media Group, LLC, the owners of Moms Meet, filed for bankruptcy May 20th. While on Facebook, the WOW Summit was still announcing new speakers as late as May 3rd!
The Facebook page is flooded with comments from frustrated moms who accumulated hundreds of thousands of “moms meet points” on the website, which could be redeemed for prizes, and suddenly discovered they were now worth nothing.
Others had spent their points and gift cards and other prizes, and sadly would not be receiving their prizes. And others were in the middle of campaigns with clients and had no way of reporting their work or getting paid.
And there’s there the whole WOW Summit group that purchased tickets to the event, made plans and hotel arrangements, and they got no warning everything would suddenly be canceled. No warning, and no info on their refunds as of yet.
No Updates
There’s been no updates as to what happened, and whether anyone will be getting paid, or getting refunds. If I do run across any new info, I will update this post! As of now, there’s only been that one Facebook post and the public records.
2025 Update: I just did a quick check and don’t see anything new. Their last Instagram post was in 2023, and the only article I could find was my own.

I had over 20,000 points when they shut down. I got to do some great product testing with them over the years and received some good prizes for points. I am very disappointed that they’re apparently done. I feel for anyone who worked there who may have lost a job but I also think people who were loyal users of the site for years (like myself) deserved a little bit of an explanation.
Same feelings here! I had a bunch of points saved up waiting to cash them in for an Amazon gift card. And I loved doing the blog and sampling campaigns over the years. The way they abruptly closed with no warning just wasn’t right at all.
Wow, I had no idea they shut their doors. I’m so disappointed. I guess this is why I haven’t received anything to apply for their sample programs.
Yep, they shut down with no notice!
Thank you for posting! I had no idea and was wondering why I hadn’t gotten any emails in a while. I don’t remember if they emailed everyone, but they should’ve if they didn’t. I suppose that’s why I hadn’t received what I tried to cash my points out for.
They didn’t e-mail any info at all! The only thing they did was a single post on the Facebook page saying they were shutting down. No explanation or advance warning.
I didn’t know anything till I googled it & the website didn’t come up. So I looked in FB.
What a disappointment- I LOVED doing their campaigns and I had thousands of points accumulated. I so wish we would’ve recvd a heads up and they would’ve exited/ transitioned with more of a plan.
I feel the same! I loved their campaigns too.
