A Salon with a Spa Experience

Each salon owner in My Salon Suites offers their own personalized experience, and Wicked Beauty has a warm inviting spa atmosphere that’s a nice change from the hustle and bustle of a standard salon.

Owner Jenna Pulak is a cosmetologist and nail technician with over 20 years of experience and specialized training in the medical field for clients with health issues. She can work magic on nails and toenails that need extra care and can even replace missing toenails so anyone can enjoy sandal season.

I got my first dip manicure and can’t stop admiring how smooth and perfect my nails look even days later. As an avid nail picker, most of my manicures are short-lived. However, the dip has resisted all my efforts at picking so I may have met my match.

I got gel on my toes in a matching color, and Jenna obviously takes pride in her pedicure work, going out of her way to remove the calluses without being too rough.

Haircut and Style

I’m extremely picky about who I let touch my hair and haven’t had a big haircut in a couple years after my usual stylist quit doing hair. I play with my color a lot and have some delicate damaged strands. I often find hair stylists too rough and was afraid if I went to one, they’d be pulling out gobs of hair when they combed it.

I’m so neurotic about it that I brought my own wide toothed comb, fearing she’d come at me with that skinny comb used for hair cutting and it would take half my hair.

Jenna took the time to listen to my hair styling fears and promised if my hair did start coming out, she would stop and let me comb it. Turns out, my comb wasn’t needed, and I did not lose the wads of hair as I had feared. She managed to get it nice and combed out and proceeded with my much-needed haircut.

I didn’t come in with any reference photos. I just told her I wanted some long layers and some kind of style, since I had let it grow to all one long length.

Then I let her do her thing and watched as she pulled my hair this way and that and snipped away a lot of the damage I’d accumulated over the last couple years.

Then she styled my hair with big bouncy glamour curls and even added a few tinsel extensions for fun. I was so totally happy with my finished hairstyle that I booked a hair coloring for the next week, before I even left the salon.

I so rarely let anyone color my hair that this was a monumental step for me to totally hand my hair over to someone else. Just goes to show she knows what she’s doing and truly worked some magic on my hair that day.
